Gray Black Angelfish (Pomacanthus arcuatus)

The adult Gray Black Angelfish, also known as the Gray Angelfish, boasts a gray body adorned with dusky blue polka-dots and similar highlights on the caudal, dorsal, and anal fins. Its face features a clear, pale silvery-gray coloration, while the juvenile is characterized by a black body with yellow stripes.

With hardy traits, the Gray Black Angelfish can grow up to 20 inches as an adult, necessitating a tank of 250 gallons or more with ample live rock for hiding and grazing. However, it tends to nip at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates) and clam mantles.

Offering a diverse diet, including Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, and mysis or frozen shrimp, is essential.

Size variations include the Small Juvenile displaying juvenile colorations or potentially shifting to a young adult, the Medium representing a sub-adult, and the Large showcasing adult coloration.
