Blackline Blenny (Meiacanthus nigrolineatus)

The Blackline Blenny, also known as the Blackline Fangblenny, belongs to the Meicanthus genus, whose members have a venomous bite used for defense. If swallowed by a larger fish, they bite the inside of the predator’s mouth, causing the fish to spit them out. These blennies feature yellow and green coloration with black markings along their lateral line. Peaceful and visually striking, the Blackline Blenny makes a beautiful addition to any community aquarium.
