Dilectus Dottyback
Dilectus Dottyback (Pseudochromis dilectus)
The Dilectis Dottyback, also known as the Sri Lanka Dottyback, hails from the reefs of Sri Lanka. This species features an elongated, dark body with striking white accents, making it a stunning addition to both saltwater fish-only and reef aquariums. Ideal for a 30-gallon or larger aquarium, the Dilectis Dottyback thrives with ample live rock for hiding and supplemental nutrition. Once acclimated, it will often swim openly, adding vibrant movement to the tank. It is best to keep only one Dilectis Dottyback per aquarium, unless in a very large setup with simultaneous acclimation. This dottyback may also assist in controlling bristleworm populations. Feed the Dilectis Dottyback a varied diet of meaty foods, including vitamin-enriched brine and mysis shrimp, chopped fish, and high-quality flake food.
