The Blue Line Grouper, also known as the Boenacki Grouper or Blue-lined Hind, is distinguished by its light red body adorned with vertical blue lines and dark blue fins.

This species requires a 250-gallon or larger tank due to its size and feeding behavior. Highly aggressive, it may prey on its tank mates and crustaceans. The Blue Line Grouper thrives on a diet of meaty foods, including krill, shrimp, and small fish.
