The Red Flag Grouper, also known as the Flagtail Grouper, Darkfin Hind, or V-tail Grouper, sports a red body that may be mottled with white, with two white stripes on its caudal fin forming a distinctive “V.” It requires a 180-gallon or larger aquarium due to its size and feeding behavior. This fish is highly aggressive and may prey on its tank mates and crustaceans. The Red Flag Grouper thrives on a diet of meaty foods such as krill, shrimp, and small fish.
