Barred Flagtail (Kuhlia mugil) 

The Flagtail Grunt is a robust and lively marine fish, also known as the Barred Flagtail or Five Band Flagtail. In its natural habitat along reef edges in the Indo-Pacific region, it features a sleek, elongated silver body with compressed sides and a forked caudal fin adorned with alternating black and white horizontal stripes. While it can grow up to sixteen inches, it typically reaches around ten inches. Although these fish naturally form schools, maintaining a school in an aquarium is impractical due to their size.
