Magnificent Foxface Rabbitfish
Magnificent Foxface Rabbitfish (Siganus magnificus)
The Magnificent Foxface, also known as the Magnificent Rabbitfish, Andaman Foxface, or Red Fin Foxface, is a visually striking fish with a distinctive appearance. Its face is white with a notable black band, while its body is split between white and dark brown to black, and its fins are edged in yellow or red. This hardy fish is an excellent choice for newly established tanks.
It thrives in aquariums of 125 gallons or more. The Magnificent Foxface is generally peaceful but can display aggression towards other rabbitfish. It can be kept with more aggressive fish and is usually left alone by predators due to its venomous dorsal spines. While generally reef-safe if well-fed, it may nip at or consume some LPS and soft corals if not properly nourished.
