Pink Face Wrasse (Thalassoma quinquevittatum)

The Pinkface Wrasse, also known as the Five Stripe Wrasse, brings vibrant color and lively movement to any aquarium, making it an excellent choice for both novice and experienced aquarists. This species is easily identifiable by its bright green and yellow body, adorned with several thick pink stripes that run from its mouth to just behind its eyes.To thrive, the Pinkface Wrasse should be kept in a 70-gallon or larger aquarium, ideally with other aggressive tank mates and plenty of rocks for hiding. It can become territorial and may harass new additions, so it’s best to introduce it toward the end of the stocking process. While this wrasse has been known to eat mantis shrimp, bristle worms, and other crustaceans, it typically does not consume corals or live plants. For a balanced diet, the Pinkface Wrasse should be fed a variety of vitamin-enriched frozen mysis shrimp, frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods, along with high-quality marine flakes and pellets.
