Tricolor Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus solorensis)

The Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse, also known as the Tricolor Fairy Wrasse, Redheaded Fairy Wrasse, or Red-eyed Fairy Wrasse, is sometimes regarded by aquarists as a color variant of the Blueside Wrasse. This stunning fish features a blue body accented by a bright red dorsal edge and a vibrant yellow-orange face. Its colors can shift to various shades of blue and purple based on its mood, with males displaying intensified hues during courtship.

To thrive, the Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse requires a fish-only or reef aquarium of at least 90 gallons. It prefers shaded areas away from bright lights and is harmless to corals and invertebrates, making it an excellent choice for reef tanks. As a jumping species, a tightly fitting canopy is highly recommended.

For optimal health, the diet of the Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse should include vitamin-enriched frozen mysis shrimp, vitamin-enriched frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods, complemented by high-quality marine flakes and pellets.
