Flame Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus jordani)

The Flame Fairy Wrasse, also known as Jordan’s Fairy Wrasse or Jordan’s Wrasse, is a vibrant and eye-catching addition to any marine aquarium. Males boast a brilliant golden body adorned with striking red markings on their fins, while females exhibit more subdued colors.

To provide optimal care, a 90-gallon or larger aquarium—either fish-only or reef—is recommended, with plenty of shaded areas for hiding. The Flame Wrasse is reef-safe, posing no threat to corals or invertebrates. However, these fish are known to jump, so a securely fitted canopy is essential.

For their diet, Flame Fairy Wrasses thrive on vitamin-enriched frozen mysis and brine shrimp, along with other meaty foods, supplemented by high-quality marine flakes and pellets. Given their active nature, they should be fed 2 to 3 times daily.
