Black Neon Dottyback
Black Neon Dottyback (Pseudochromis aldabraensis x Psuedochromis springeri)
The Black Neon Dottyback is a hybrid between the Neon Dottyback (Pseudochromis aldabraensis) and the Springeri Dottyback (Pseudochromis springeri). With its striking appearance and vibrant personality, it makes an eye-catching addition to most marine aquariums.
The Black Neon Dottyback displays a unique blend of traits from its parent species, with distinct face bands, horizontal blue stripes along its dorsal length and fins, and a body color that can shift from jet black to rust depending on mood and environment.
An ideal setup for the Black Neon Dottyback is a saltwater aquarium of at least 30 gallons with plenty of live rock for hiding spots. Like other Dottybacks, it’s best housed singly unless the tank is very large.
The Black Neon Dottyback should be fed a carnivore-specific diet and, if kept in a reef aquarium, requires feeding once per day. Approximate size is between 1 to 2 inches when purchased.
