Blue Jaw Triggerfish -Female (Xanthichthys auromarginatus)

The Blue Throat Trigger, scientifically known as Xanthichthys auromarginatus, is also referred to as the Blue Jaw Trigger, Blue Chin Trigger, or Gilded Trigger. This striking fish showcases a grayish-brown body adorned with light blue spots, complemented by yellow-edged fins and a distinctive blue throat or chin. To thrive, it requires a tank rich in live rock and ample open swimming space. Known for occasionally emitting a grunting sound, the Blue Throat Trigger also enjoys interacting with its environment by picking up and rearranging objects in the aquarium.
