Golden Semilarvatus Butterflyfish (Chaetodon semilarvatus)

The Golden Semilarvatus Butterflyfish, also known as the Golden Butterflyfish or Red-lined Butterflyfish, features a bright yellow body adorned with closely spaced orange stripes on its sides and a dark blue-gray patch behind its eyes.

For optimal care, a 125-gallon or larger aquarium with peaceful tank mates is recommended. These fish can be kept in pairs or small groups within larger tanks. However, they are not suitable for reef aquariums.

Initially, a diet of vitamin-enriched live foods or fresh clams may be necessary. Once the fish starts eating, incorporate herbivore preparations into their diet.
