Kupang (Azure) Damselfish (Chrysiptera hemicyanea) 

The Damselfish, also known as the Half-blue Damselfish, is a vibrant, two-tone marine fish known for its quick, darting movements. The front half of its body is a bright blue, while the back half, including the anal fin and tail, is yellow. There is some variation in the amount of yellow on individual fish, leading to different species being referred to as the Azure Damselfish. However, in the aquarium trade, this fish, *C. hemicyanea*, is commonly recognized as the Azure Damselfish. A 30-gallon or larger aquarium with ample rockwork and décor is ideal for this species. Due to its ability to tolerate less-than-ideal water conditions, it’s a popular choice for novice aquarists. A small group of juvenile Azure Damsels can add lively color and activity to most marine tanks.
