Lemonpeel Angelfish (Centropyge flavissima)

The Lemonpeel Angelfish exudes a vibrant yellow hue with sky-blue accents on the lips, around the eyes, pectoral fins, and the tips of the dorsal, caudal, and anal fins. To distinguish it from the False Lemonpeel Angelfish (C. heraldi), lacking these blue highlights, it is alternatively known as the True Lemonpeel Angelfish.

For optimal care, provide a 70-gallon or larger aquarium with hiding spots and ample live rock to graze on microalgae growth. Prone to nipping at large-polyped stony corals and clam mantles, it’s advisable to avoid housing Lemonpeel Angelfish with fish of the same genera.

Their diet should encompass Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other meaty items. This angelfish has a higher requirement for algae and seaweed in its diet compared to most angels.
