Lubbock Fairy Wrasse
Lubbock Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus lubbocki)
The Multicolored Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse, often simply referred to as Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse, features striking coloration in males, with a bright yellow and red body adorned with blue, brown, and white patterns. Females typically display less vibrant markings. During courtship, males will show even more intense colors.
A 50-gallon or larger aquarium, whether fish-only or reef, with some shaded areas is recommended for this species. The Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse is peaceful and won’t disturb other fish or invertebrates, making it an ideal addition to any reef setup. However, they are known to jump, so a secure canopy is essential.
For their diet, the Multicolored Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse should be fed a variety of vitamin-enriched frozen mysis and brine shrimp, other meaty foods, and high-quality marine flakes and pellets.
