The Lyretail Anthias, often called the Scalefin, is the social butterfly of marine aquariums. This vibrant and active fish helps to encourage shyer tank mates to come out of hiding. Males display bright red hues, while females are typically more orange. Lyretail Anthias thrive in groups and are best suited for species-specific aquariums of at least 125 gallons. It’s advisable to keep males either alone or with multiple females. Although they generally inhabit the middle of the tank, Lyretail Anthias appreciate having several hiding spots available.
