Ostorhinchus cyanosoma, commonly known as the yellow-striped cardinalfish, goldenstriped cardinalfish, or the orange-lined cardinalfish, is a species of marine fish in the cardinalfish family (Apogonidae), order Perciformes. It is native to the Indo-West Pacific.O. cyanosoma typically has a bluish-silver color with orange-yellow stripes and grows to an average length of 6 centimeters. It inhabits waters up to 50 meters in depth, often found in lagoons or coral reefs. This fish is nocturnal, feeding on small plants and animals, primarily plankton. It has been the subject of research investigating the potential impacts of predicted atmospheric carbon dioxide levels on marine life by the year 2100.
