Oreni Tilefish, often regarded as the “Holy Grail” of aquarium keeping. A member of the Malacanthidae family, this stunning fish is known for its rare, peaceful demeanor and vibrant personality, making it a sought-after addition to the aquarium community.
Reaching a maximum length of 8 inches, the Oreni Tilefish features a striking blue metallic zigzag line running along its body, starting behind the head and ending at the base of the caudal fin. Its bronze background is adorned with scattered spots, creating a captivating visual effect. With a torpedo-shaped body, this fish has an ethereal presence.
As a demersal species, the Oreni Tilefish prefers to dwell near the bottom of the aquarium, where it will create burrows or mounds for retreat when feeling threatened. To accommodate its active nature, a tank of at least 50 gallons is recommended, along with a secure cover to protect your investment.
This dartfish thrives on a varied diet that includes marine fish, crustacean flesh, and Mysis shrimp, which should be fed two to three times daily
