Pink Spotted Watchman Goby
Pink Spotted Watchman Goby (Cryptocentrus leptocephalus)
The Spotted Watchman Goby, also known as the Pink and Blue Spotted Goby, Singapore Shrimp, Leptocephalus Prawn, or Pinkspotted Shrimp Goby, features a body that ranges from yellow to tan with pink spots highlighted by smaller blue spots.
For optimal care, this species needs a 30-gallon or larger aquarium equipped with loose coral rubble, plenty of swimming space, and a sandy substrate for burrowing. While generally non-aggressive towards other fish, it is territorial and may fight with others of its species unless they are a mated pair. To prevent escape attempts, ensure the aquarium has a secure, tight-fitting lid.
The Spotted Watchman Goby should be fed a varied diet including mysis shrimp, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, table shrimp, and prepared carnivore foods. It is best to feed it at least twice a day.
