Red Bar (Cooper’s) Anthias (Pseudanthias cooperi)

The Red-Bar Anthias, also known as Cooper’s Anthias, exhibits distinct coloration between males and females. Males have a light pink body adorned with a vertical red bar in the mid-section, while females feature a more orange hue with a silvery belly and red tail. Both sexes have light blue edging around most of their fins. This species is widely distributed, ranging from the Pacific to the Indian Ocean, and can be found from East Africa to Samoa, Japan, and Australia.
