Red Emperor Snapper (Lutjanus sebae) 

The Emperor Red Snapper, also known as the Sebae Snapper, is strikingly marked in its juvenile stage with bold red to black stripes on a white body. As it matures, it grows rapidly, and the stripes gradually fade, giving way to a more uniform reddish-pink coloration.

Due to its size and growth rate, a minimum 360-gallon aquarium is required for this hardy fish. Juvenile Emperor Snappers thrive in schools with others of their kind, but as they mature, they should be kept alone in the tank. Be aware that they may consume ornamental crustaceans.

Feed the Emperor Red Snapper once a day, offering a variety of meaty foods such as chopped scallops, shrimp, and fish to ensure its health and vitality.
