Splendid Dottyback (Manonichthys splendens) 

The Splendid Dottyback, also known as the Splendid Pseudochromis, is a striking fish with a vibrant blue body adorned with white to light yellow spots, complemented by a yellow tail and a distinctive yellow mark between its eyes. Native to Indonesia, this species can be territorial, especially in smaller aquariums, making it ideal to house them with larger tank mates. A 30-gallon or larger aquarium is recommended to provide ample space for the Splendid Dottyback. It is a bold fish that will not hesitate to defend its territory, even against fish two to three times its size. However, it may prey on small ornamental shrimp. To keep the Splendid Dottyback healthy and vibrant, provide a varied diet tailored for carnivores. If kept in a reef aquarium, feeding it once daily is sufficient.
