Three Stripe Damselfish (Dascyllus aruanus)

The 3-Stripe Damselfish, also known as the Three Striped Damselfish, White-tailed Damselfish, or Humbug Dascyllus, is a popular choice among marine hobbyists. This striking fish features three bold black bands separated by two white ones, with an additional white bar accentuating the tail. A 30-gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of hiding spots is ideal for this species. As it matures, the 3-Stripe Damselfish can become aggressive, making it well-suited for a community tank with other moderately aggressive fish. Despite its temperament, it will not harm invertebrates or disturb the tank’s setup.
