Yellow Clown Goby
Yellow Clown Goby (Gobiodon okinawae)
The Yellow Clown Goby is a vibrant and lively addition to any marine aquarium. This small fish, reaching only 1-1/2 inches in length, captivates with its bright coloration and engaging behavior. Often found perched on live rock or coral, or hovering openly in the water column, the Yellow Clown Goby provides plenty of visual interest for aquarium enthusiasts. Its stocky build and large head give it a notable presence despite its small size. Native to the Indo-Pacific reefs, the Yellow Clown Goby (Gobiodon okinawae) typically resides among both soft and hard corals. Its peaceful nature makes it a great companion in reef tanks with polyp corals, where it will swim and perch among the corals. However, care should be taken with SPS corals, as the Yellow Clown Goby might nip at smaller polyps. For optimal care, house a single Yellow Clown Goby in a tank of at least 10 gallons, ideally with branching coral to mimic its natural habitat.
