Tilefish typically grow to around 6 inches in length. They are generally reef-safe but may consume shrimp and other invertebrates. These fish thrive in a tank with a combination of rocks, sand, and open space, as they like to burrow into the sand at night or when frightened. It’s best to keep them with other tilefish, but avoid housing them with aggressive species, as they can easily get stressed. Additionally, a secure lid is essential, as they may jump out of the tank if startled
